22 Weeks

Time continues to zoom by! We're on day 2 of week 22.

Dear Active Little One,
There have been several new developments in your little life since last time I wrote. All of which you are not aware, but they are exciting and there will come a day when you will know of and appreciate them, I'm sure.

Your little cousin, Liam, has given you a whole lot of fun things in the last couple of weeks: lots of clothes, a swing, car seat, bathtub, play mat, and wipe warmer. Your Auntie Kendra has bought you a bunch of super cute clothes. You are going to be one very stylin' baby!

Today, your daddy and I bought you a crib. We found one that was a great buy and it will match perfectly with your nursery. It has several great features like a storage drawer, the mattress can raise and lower, and the side arm can also raise and lower. It will be a crib that grows with you so that you can use it for a bed when you get a little bit older. We're pretty excited about it.

The theme for your nursery has been chosen: robots! We are going to use oranges, blues, and greens for the colors. We are going to paint a city scene on one wall with little robots inhabiting it. The Poland picture will still look great in there and we will add some extra artwork and lots of blankets, pillows, and stuffed animals to make it cozy and comfy. We've already been offered lots of help with the painting and decorating. I just can't wait to see how cool it looks when it's done.

We went back to the doctor this past week. My blood sugar was tested because I have been really thirsty lately and they wanted to make sure that I don't have diabetes. The test came back normal. Whew! I will have to get a blood test done in about 6 weeks to double check that things are still good, but I don't think the doctor foresees any problems.

When I was in the doctor's office this time I went over a birthing plan with her. I now know exactly how I am going to write it and what information it will contain. It will be pretty basic and straightforward because, other than having you happy and healthy and delivered safely, there are not a lot of details that are truly important to me. There are a few items that I really care about though so I want to be sure to have those written down.

You have been really active lately, but your daddy still isn't able to feel you kicking. I can tell that you're getting stronger and bigger on a weekly basis though so I'm sure it won't be too long.

Over the past 3 weeks I have had 5 or 6 people tell me that I don't even look pregnant. I kind of think some of them are crazy. However, if I am wearing my coat it is still a little hard to tell. I know that you checked out ok in your last ultrasound so I'm unconcerned. I only want you to be healthy!

Your daddy and I, (and a lot of other people for that matter), continue to anxiously await your arrival. We love you very much!
