And the Name of the Lord Shall Be Praised!
Dear Baby Noah,
Today is a very exacting day! It officially marks 36 weeks! This means a number of things: 1)You will be born in Nampa which your mommy is very grateful for because this means my doctor can deliver you, 2)We made it farther than 3 doctors told us we ever would, 3)We no longer have to go to Boise to see the high-risk doctors, and 4)There is a 95% chance that you will get to come home with us right after you're born and the chances only increase with each passing day!
I was admitted to the hospital on Monday of this week. They are keeping us here for observation until they induce or I go into labor. If nothing has happened one week from today they can induce. The bad news is that my doctor will be out of town. So, I can wait til Sunday night, the 29th, when she returns to be induced, or I can have one of her partners induce me on Friday the 27th. Both your Daddy and I are hoping you come before next Friday and then this will be a non-issue.
We have had lots and lots of company since being admitted. It is really nice as it helps to pass the time. Though the hospital stay hasn't been too bad, all in all. The hardest part is that I never get to sleep. Between getting my blood pressure taken every 2 hours, my reflexes checked every 2-4 hours, my blood drawn every other day, and 2 NST's a day, I'm constantly being woke up. I can't even get a nap in during the day after being exhausted from being woke up every 1-2 hours every night because my crazy schedule only continues. Oh well, I guess I'll be good and ready for your night-time feedings when you come. I'm just a little bummed that I will be exhausted before they even start.
I've been having contractions for over a week, but haven't felt them. I did start feeling a few Braxton Hicks contractions yesterday, but nothing to speak of today. During your A.M. NST yesterday my contractions were apparently coming too close together for the doctor to be comfortable with them. So, they were considering giving me something to stop them, but they eventually slowed themselves down.
We love you, sweet baby boy. We get to meet you in 10 days or less and can hardly wait! Keeping growing strong and healthy for the next few days so you will be ready to meet us!
Love, Mommy and Daddy

The first sentence is supposed to say "exciting day," not "exacting day..." I guess this is what happens when you try to type while laying down. Haha!
