Hey Bud,
Oh my goodness! What a milestone of a post this is! I get to post your very first, first-day-of-school photos on here. I can't believe I just typed that!
Yes, you started preschool on September 10. You go twice a week for about 2 hours each time. You LOVE it! On days that you don't have school you ask when you get to go and try to convince us that you are missing school and/or you're late for it! You absolutely adore your teachers, love the new friends you've made, and seem to enjoy all the different parts of your day. You seem to be eating it up! I hope this attitude towards school continues for a long time to come :)
Mommy is on Fall break so I get to take you to school for the first time tomorrow. I'm very excited about that :) Unlike many other Mommies I know, I was so excited for you to start school! I didn't feel teary or anything when we took you on your first day. I knew you were excited and very ready for school and I was just so happy for you and couldn't wait for you to get to know your teachers, to make new friends, to learn new things, to share the things you've already learned, etc. I'm so thankful that you've been having such a great experience!
Chloe sure misses you while you're at school! You two are best buds. You like to play together and, generally speaking, you do a pretty good job of getting along. There are times when you get frustrated with her because she gets into your things or ruins what you're doing (destroys train tracks or puzzles you've built, etc.), but, for the most part, you two enjoy each other's company and often find things to enjoy together.
I'm constantly amazed at how grown-up you seem for a 3 year old. You just comprehend and remember so much, it is crazy! It is so easy to carry on a conversation with you. You are very inquisitive and observant; not much gets past you. You are a thinker and work hard to keep me and Daddy on our toes.
Some of your current likes are: reading books, school, going to the library, spending time with any of your grandparents and aunts and uncles, playing outside, watching cartoons, playing on the Kindle, playing with Chloe, and helping around the house.
Some of your current dislikes are: taking naps (many days it turns into more of a rest time), the crust on any sandwich, having your hair combed, and having to come in from playing outside.
You are a very caring, sweet, and funny little boy. You are such a bright spot in our lives and Mommy, Daddy, and Chloe are so thankful for you! It is fun to watch you grow to be more independent and to take on more responsibility (even the little things count :) ). Mommy and Daddy are very proud of you! You are a very special kid! Don't ever forget how much we love you and how much Jesus loves you, too! Keep being you, Noah T.!
