I have been feeling very blessed because the only true symptom that I've been struggling with, still, is being tired. I have had a total of 4 or 5 mornings that I have felt sick to my stomach, but, so far, no vomiting. The nausea only lasts for an hour or so at the most and can usually be taken care of by eating something, if I can get myself to do so.
I don't have any food aversions yet. There really hasn't been anything that makes me sick to my stomach. At least nothing out of the ordinary that is. I have had a couple random cravings: the first one was for a doughnut and the second one was a few days later; I just had to have some cranberry juice. Let me tell you, it was sweet relief when Sam got those things for me.
This week my mom bought me two maternity jackets and two maternity t-shirts. (Sam gave me permission to wear the Chicago Cubs shirt solely based on the fact that they're an NL team. Whew!) Sam's mom also gave me a shirt. It isn't maternity, but it will work for that, at least through the beginning stages of showing. We're truly blessed to have so many generous people in our lives!
Lastly, the best news of all: I haven't had any cramping in over a week! Praise the Lord! I go in for my follow-up ultrasound on Tuesday, (Oct. 4), my intake appointment on Thursday, (Oct. 6), and my first OB appointment a week from Friday, (Oct. 14). Sam and I are both very excited to watch this precious little one's life continue to develop.
