Ba-Bye First Trimester

Can you believe it?! Week 13, day 2. Where did that first trimester go? As my second trimester is only days away, I continue to grow excited to meet our little son or daughter.

There isn't a whole lot of new news to report this week. I'm still awaiting the renewed energy that has been promised by so many, (which is a fantastic reason to be excited about the second trimester), my clothes still fit, and seeing cute little kids in the store, etc. still makes me extremely excited to become a mommy!

I have noticed that the restroom and I are no longer as tight as we once were. You must understand that this is some of the greatest news of all because being tight with that porcelain and being a teacher simply does not mix, unless, of course, you're real fond of the idea of being uncomfortable for hours on end because you have no choice but to hold it.

One strange thing that I noticed this week, (well, maybe not strange, but certainly interesting), is that I haven't felt bloated since week 5 or 6, but that wonderful feeling came on with a vengeance this week. I know my insides have grown and changed a lot lately, but my weight hasn't changed since week 7...

Sam and I are both anxiously awaiting the day when we find out if we're having a boy or a girl. I asked him the other day if he thinks we're having a boy or a girl and he said a boy. However, when I asked why, he said it was just something to say. Now, that's some true conviction. We will continue to count down the days until we can find out if Sam's haphazard guess it right.

  1. Oh Sam, you always make me laugh. That is one of the many things I love about you.
Kas, I have been specifically praying for your body to stay healthy. Also for the little one to grow strong and healthy.
For both you and Sam, Dad and I pray daily for God to be blessing you with wisdom even now as you are preparing for parenting.
I love all 3 of you.
