Week 16

It is amazing to me to think that the halfway mark of this pregnancy is quickly approaching. It seems that each week goes by a little quicker than the one before. We're currently on day 3 of week 16.

I continue to feel really great. It's been months since I've had this much energy. There are even days when I question having had this much energy pre-pregnancy.

The latest quirk I've noticed is that my gag reflex is incredibly strong! It's really annoying because I find myself gagging an awful lot and often it winds up making me a little sick to my stomach.

Our little one doubled in size this past week. They are now 4.5 inches long and weigh about 3.5 ounces; about the size of an apple. Their little arms, legs, tastebuds, etc. continue to grow and develop and they are looking more and more human every single day.

This morning during Sunday School, I think I felt the baby move for the first time. It felt like there was popcorn popping in my stomach. It lasted, on and off, for quite some time. I'm interested to see if this feeling continues because it will either confirm or erase my suspicions of that feeling being baby movement.

Blogging may be a little spotty over the next month or so because of some travelling we will be doing for the holidays. However, I'll do my best to write down new developments so I can be sure to share them when I'm able to get online.
