Whew! What a busy month! I think we spent the vast majority of it in the car. Thank goodness you're a pretty good little traveler!
At the beginning of this month we went to California, (Scotts Valley, Monterey Bay, Santa Cruz, Napa), with Mommy's family for the not-so-little Little family reunion. It actually was relatively small this time around with only 119 people in attendance. It was also kind of short, only last from Sunday-Wednesday. However, a great time was had by all! We got to go swimming, played lots of volleyball, saw lots of family we don't get to see too often, did some shopping, played board games, and went to the boardwalk at Santa Cruz. At first, you weren't too sure about the ocean. By the time we left the beach you were crazy about the water and you were so brave as to march out into the waves as fast as your little legs could carry you.
After we left reunion we went down to Monterey Bay and spent basically an entire day at the aquarium. It was so cool! You loved looking at all the animals and touching things in the touch pools. There was so much to see. I'm pretty sure we didn't visit everything even though we were there for 6-8 hours.
When we left the aquarium we headed to Aunt Kris' house where we stayed the night. The next day we took the tour of the Jelly Belly Factory. It was the first time for you and Daddy and Mommy hadn't been in a really long time. It was fun to see all the candy, how they make it, and the best part, of course, was eating it! We packed a whole bunch of jelly bellies home with us. Yum!
We were only home for a few days after our trip to California before we took off to Montana with Daddy's family. Grandpa Larson's niece, so I guess that makes her your second cousin or first cousin once-removed or something, anyway, she got married in Bigfork on the 19th. We stayed at Flathead Lake for 4 days. It was GORGEOUS! Again, this was the first time for you and Daddy and Mommy hadn't been there for several years. The weather was great, it was fun to get to meet some of Grandpa Larson's family that you and I hadn't met yet, we got to go swimming, eat lots of good food, and laze around. You enjoyed the lake as much as you liked the ocean. I think your favorite part at the lake was throwing rocks. Forget swimming, that's for sissies.
Tomorrow is Grandma Larson's birthday and we are going to take her out to lunch to celebrate. You've been spending lots of time at her house lately and you love it! Whenever we ask you if you want to go to Grandma's house you say, "Please!" You get so excited to see any of your grandparents or aunts or uncles.
I'll close this post with a few highlights on your most recent developments. You're becoming your own little person and it is so fun to watch you grow and develop. You are the greatest entertainment around! I don't know what Daddy and I did for fun before you were born :)
