Sweet Baby Girl,
I've been counting down the days until the beginning of my 3rd trimester basically since the day I found out I was pregnant with you. There is just something about reaching that final trimester that makes you feel as though you might actually get to meet this adorable little baby someday and that is the best feeling in the world!
If I'm being perfectly honest, I'm getting a little ahead of myself - my 3rd trimester doesn't officially start until Monday, but I'm overdue for a post on your brother's blog and I post for him on the 28th of every month so I thought I'd write yours while I was at it today. (I'll take my 28 week picture on Monday and try to remember to post it here. I have a picture from every week of my pregnancy with you, I just haven't posted all of them).
Things have been going really well so far! My blood pressure has been looking great, for which your Daddy and I are so thankful! I was 28 weeks and 6 days when I was diagnosed with preeclampsia with Noah and it is a little nerve wracking to think about how close I am to that point with you, but all my worries and fears subside when I remember that the Lord has great plans for you and that He will be faithful to carry us both through to September and that we are in the best hands possible! I really do feel at peace about these last few weeks.
We go back in to see Dr. Kaiser (only our 2nd time to see him) on July 7th. I have to drink that nasty sugary gunk for the gestational diabetes test that day. I'm not looking forward to that, but I'm counting my blessings that the cup-of-crap they give you to down is small :)
So far, I've been measuring in exact accordance with your due date at all my appointments. Your heartbeat has been in the 140's and has been sounding really good. You are really wiggly, maybe even more so than Noah, which is hard to do. You're also very strong. With Noah, I felt him move at 16 weeks for the first time. Daddy couldn't feel him move until I was 25 weeks. With you, I felt you move for the first time at 17 weeks, but I was only 20 or 21 weeks when Daddy felt you move for the first time.
I'm really anxious to see how long you are and how much you weigh at birth, especially if I don't deliver until 40 weeks. In some instances, I feel like this is my first pregnancy because my pregnancy with Noah was so abnormal - I'm just not sure what to expect.
I've had heartburn like crazy with you! I know it is an old wive's tale, but I'm still curious to see if you'll have lots of hair. I never had heartburn with Noah and he was practically bald at birth :)
Noah prays for you to be safe and healthy every night before he goes to bed. He also loves to give you hugs and kisses. You are going to be blessed with an amazing big brother! He cannot wait to meet you and neither can Daddy or I. We each love you so much already and are so excited to welcome you into our family in less than 3 months!
