Dear Chloe Girl -
Well, they always say that it is harder to keep up with pictures and baby books, etc. when you have more than 1 child. I, unfortunately, am finding that to be true :( It has been over 3 months since I blogged. Ugh! However, at least I haven't let your baby book fall by the wayside and whatever I missed on here should be in there. It is my hope that I'll have more time to blog now that it is summer and I'm done with my MA.

You are just the best baby! Daddy and I never thought we'd have a baby that was easier than Noah, but I think you've outdone him! You are so content and so happy all the time. You're very even-tempered and go-with-the-flow. You'll play for long periods of time on the floor by yourself, but you also like to be held. You do great in your car seat and stroller and even the trailer that's hitched to Daddy's bike. You love to be outside and you like to be on the go, no matter where we are. The only thing you don't like is being left with people you don't know extremely well. You are very wary of people and if you can't find Mommy or Daddy or an Aunt or Uncle or Grandparent you get unhappy pretty quickly.

You are a girl who has a lot to say, you love to chatter and make noise all the time! You even scream and growl (happily) pretty frequently. Two words are currently tied for 1st place as far as favorites go: Mama and no no. You know how to do some signs, especially bye-bye and all done, but you're pretty stubborn about when/if you actually want to do them. We've been working on please and more also, but you don't seem too interested. Clearly, you do things when and if you want. You've got your own agenda. Hopefully this doesn't spell trouble for the future...

You are crawling everywhere and have been since between 6.5-7 months. Your crawl isn't too traditional (it looks like you're doing the worm), but it is very fast and gets you where you want to go. You love to get yourself up on your hands and knees or hands and feet and rock back and forth. You're starting to pull yourself up on toy baskets and low furniture. Walking may be in our very near future...shudder the thought.

You are such a chunk! We love it! All your chub is so adorable and you get told so, by a vast array of people, on a daily basis. Your brother is so tiny and skinny and it is has been so different to have a baby who makes it well onto the percentile charts, wears clothes that are appropriately sized for her age, and who looks as old as she is.

Your 6 month check up was your last visit to the doctor. You checked out beautifully! You weighed 16 lb. 4.5 oz. and are in the 47th percentile for weight. You were 26.5" tall and are in the 64th percentile for height. Your head measured 17.75" and is in the 97th percentile - no surprise there! Haha!

You've got the cutest little personality and can light up any room with your smiles and giggles and squeals. You are just so fun to have around and you bring a lot of joy into our lives!

You seem to be all girl - from your girly noises, to the particular way you like your food and your diaper, etc. You're quite the princess.

You still have no teeth! How?! I have no idea. You've been working on them off and on for 5 stinking months! I can see 2 that are close to breaking through the gums, but they just won't get the job done. It is so annoying! You continue to be a trooper though.

You LOVE your solids! Oatmeal is by far your favorite. You also like carrots, sweet potatoes, bananas, apple sauce, and rice cereal. Ice cream also made a great first impression on you! You don't really care much for avocados.

You've been working on sitting for quite awhile and were able to do it in short increments from about 6 months on. However, around 7 months you really got the hang of it. Now, you're just plain pro.

Your brother still ranks up there on your awesomeness chart, especially when he isn't taking toys away from you or trying to parent you. You two get along quite well. It is really cute to watch you together. I know he is going to be loving it when you're walking and able to keep up with him even more than you do now.

Mommy and Daddy love you so much, sweet girl! You're a precious treasure that we're so glad we've been entrusted with! Mommy is so looking forward to having all summer to spend with you! I promise to write again soon and not let 3 months disappear first...
